Elizabeth Olten Found DEAD in Michigan
A body found near the River Raisin in Raisinville Township, Michigan, has been confirmed to be that of Nevaeh Buchanan, a 5 year old girl missing from her home in Monroe since May 24th.
A relative confirmed to the Monroe Evening News Thursday that the body found by fishermen in the River Raisin is Nevaeh Buchanan.
A massive search effort was launched after May 24th the disappearance of Nevaeh Buchanan in Monroe County, involving hundreds of civilians and law enforcement personel. Police investigators followed up hundreds of leads and tips in the case, including questioning several suspects who may have been involved in the girl’s disappearance, but the search came to an end Tuesday when fisherman found her body near the River Raisin in Raisinville Township.
Police had blocked off the area to the public in order to conduct their search for evidence, ordering the news media to stay at least 2 miles away from the blockade and prohibiting news helicopters from flying near the area.
