Greider is a USA citizen and is 48 years old. She was born in California and attended the University of California in Santa Barbara. In 1987 she obtained her PHD and the best of it is that Elizabeth H. Blackburn who is also one of the winner this year (read here) was her project supervisor.She is currently a professor in the department of molecular biology and genetics at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore and has been there since 1997.
