Issues:Daonolfix Trojan Sweeps Web

A relatively new trojan by the name of Daonolfix is sweeping forums in what early user reports suggest might make it the new Conflicker.

Daonolfix is part of the Win32/Daonol family of trojans and is capable of monitoring network traffic, stealing FTP credentials, preventing access to security Web sites
, disabling access to system programs, and redirecting Web searches to sites hosting other malware.

The Daonolfix trojan is reported to be difficult to remove by anti-virus software as it recreates itself when deleted by standard anti-virus tools. If you are infected, Avira has a Daonolfix removal guide here. Microsoft advises that the best way to prevent infection is with the use of a firewall.
