Oprah Winfrey bans BeBe Winans from show due to domestic violence

Oprah Winfrey's talk show will not feature gospel singer BeBe Winans again for the time being. Why? BeBe is still in the midst of a domestic violence case against his ex-wife Debra that began in 2008--and many fans are unhappy that he was allowed to appear on the show last month to begin with. Oprah has taken a tougher stance on domestic violence in the past, banning people such as singer Chris Brown from appearing on the show and getting that publicity they so desire.

In response to Oprah's move Debra Winans issued a statement to TMZ:

"It further demonstrates the fact that Oprah continues to be a strong voice against domestic violence and that she's willing to take the steps necessary to defend the defenseless."

Oprah has been making headlines left and right over the past few weeks; she is reportedly still deciding whether or not to sign a new syndication deal in favor of moving to her own network OWN. In addition, she has also shared a cover of O Magazine with fellow talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.
