When DJ AM was found dead, police reportedly found a crack pipe and pills in his apartment, according to the Associated Press. The famed disk jockey had famed battles with drug addiction throughout his adult life, but had appeared to be winning them recently.
In fact, DJ AM was about to host his own MTV intervention show "Gone Too Far" in October, which he promoted at the Television Critics Association this summer. But drugs will be pointed to as the answer to how DJ AM died, at least until autopsy and toxicology results come back.
