TCM presents a day of Sterling Hayden movies


Turner Movie Classics (TCM) is presenting a day of Sterling Hayden movies on cable television on Saturday, August 22, 2009.; as part of its month of Summer Under the Stars. Hayden was a star of the late 1940’s and 1950’s. As a tall leading man, Hayden usually portrayed a masculine man with adventurous pursuits, such as being a cowboy or a military man. Movies being presented on Saturday include Battle Taxi; Terror is a Texas Town, Ten Days to Tulara, 5 Steps to Danger, Dr. Strangelove, Zero Hour, Johnny Guitar, The Last Command, The Asphalt Jungle, Manhandled, Crime of Passion, The Golden Hawk, The Iron Sheriff and Loving.
