some fashion of repair due to flooding.Glacier National Park will close the road from Avalanche to Logan Pass at 12:01 Monday morning for accelerated construction. Hikers and bicyclists will be able to go past Avalanche for some time afterwards.
On the east side of the park, the road will be open to Logan Pass until October 19th unless there is snow or weather event. This fall there are five projects along the Going to the Sun Road including construction on the alpine section up to Logan Pass.
There will also be repairs from flood damage in November 2006 above Logan Pass.
