Bengals Mike Zimmer Discovers Body of Deceased Wife Vikki Zimmer:The Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer made an emergency call to 911 after arriving home on Thursday night and discovering the lifeless body of his 50-year-old wife Vikki Zimmer.
According to the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office, foul play is not suspected in her death, but officials have not released any further details pending an autopsy.
Bengals president Mike Brown said, “We are stunned and saddened to learn of Vikki’s passing. She was a warm and popular person in the Bengals family, and our immense respect and affection for Mike makes this especially hard. Our hearts go out to Mike and his family.”
Zimmer has been an NFL defensive coordinator for 10-years, joining the Bengals in January 2008.
Vikki was born in Layton, Utah. She and Mike met during Mike’s coaching tenure at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah in 1981. They were married for 27 years and have three children. Their son Adam Zimmer is an assistant linebackers coach for the Saints.
