The Colorado Rockies have supposedly told closer Huston Street(notes) that they want to bring him back for next year and more, according to the Denver Post.
Finesse pitcher Street saved 35 games for the Rockies this year and seemed as unstoppable as the Philadelphia Phillies' Brad Lidge(notes) did last year. And now he gets to see what he can do in the postseason. The Rockies have got to hope Street doesn't turn into the 2009 version of Lidge next year.
Talks will supposedly start at three years and $25 million. Not too shabby in the middle of a recession.
