Woodrow Wilson

I received a call this morning from a concerned parent with ties to Woodrow Wilson High School who wanted me to know that allegations of hazing at the campus were being overblown and that the event in question, which he said requires parental permission, has been going on for years.

Here's what prompted the call: A freshman female student and her mother complained to Channel 5 this morning about an early hour mentoring event Friday that involved junior and freshman females. The female student, who was not named by the news station to avoid being retaliated against, said that girls who participated in the "Big Sis-Lil Sis" event were put "into uncomfortable situations that included yelling obscenities at fast-food drive-through windows and pole-dancing on street signs."
