Senator Edward (Ted) Kennedy is being remembered today with a funeral mass in Boston and a burial at Arlington Cemetery. The formal commemoration of the life of the long time Senator from Massachusetts has been going on since Thursday, when his casket was taken to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library in Boston to lie in repose. The entire Kennedy family has gathered for the memorial services for the family patriarch including his first wife, Joan Bennett Kennedy and his second wife Victoria Reggie Kennedy.
Ted Kennedy and Joan Bennett were married in 1958 and divorced in 1982. The couple had three children: Kara Anne Kennedy, Edward M. Kennedy Jr., and Patrick J. Kennedy. Even though the couple has been divorced for years, they reportedly enjoyed a good relationship and maintained a friendship. Joan Bennett Kennedy has been in attendance at all of the memorial functions for Ted Kennedy.
